SFA International CleanSpec® 321
Degreasers to Improve the Environment
SFA provides a range of degreasers and cleanup chemicals
which meet all environmental standards as set by EU and USA
authorities. CleanSpec® 321 is the prime solvent in the
range. It is an effective cleaner which has no hazards under
current or pending Health and Safety or Environmental regulations.
What is CleanSpec® 321?
A unique, safe cleaner and degreaser whose active ingredients
are all derived from orange oils.
CleanSpec 321® will:
- act as a highly effective degreaser.
- not damage metals, cured resins or painted surfaces.
- greatly improve the quality of effluent discharge when
used with drainage to an interceptor.
- evaporate to dryness, but slowly.
- provide reduced waste volume .
- prevent formation of oily water emulsions.
- provide a pleasant orange odour.
What does CleanSpec 321® Do?
In most applications it will replace chlorinated, paraffin
based and aqueous systems in cleaning up hydrocarbon residues.
Where can you use CleanSpec® 321?
To remove oil residues from:
- equipment, floors etc
- tanks, machine parts etc
- hot melt adhesives, waxes, mastic residues,
- oil based inks & uncured oil based paint.
What surfaces is CleanSpec® 321 effective on?
CleanSpec€ 321 is effective on a wide range of surfaces:
- Metal
- Concrete
- Glass
- Water
- Most plastics
- Most coated surfaces
How do I apply CleanSpec® 321?
You can use a wide range of application methods:
- Dip tanks
- Spray
- Ultrasonics
- Parts Washers
- Mop & bucket
- Impregnated wipes
CleanSpec® 321 is cold applied – no heating is
necessary.
What coverage will I get using CleanSpec® 321?
Depending on the thickness of deposits, on flat surfaces
one litre of CleanSpec 321 will cover approximately 20m2/
litre.
Where capture is possible or circulation systems are practical,
CleanSpec 321 can be reused until saturation point has been
reached.
How do I dispose of CleanSpec® 321?
As waste oil, suitable for burning.
CleanSpec® 321 provides clear separation between grease
(or oil) and water (if water is used in conjunction with CleanSpec
321®) It is then a simple matter to pump the water off
and then dispose of oil in your normal manner.
Other points to consider with regard to waste and disposal:

- Waste normally has some commercial value.
- CleanSpec 321 is less toxic than the contaminant.
- Easy disposal through existing oil recovery contracts.

or safety warnings.

will not emulsify with water.
