FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Houston, TX / August 29, 2008 - Dr. Walter R. May proudly announces the publication of his book, U.S. Energy Independence – A Plan for Energy Independence by 2020. This 168-page book is intended to stimulate the reader to better understand the seriousness of our energy crisis and present possible solutions ($20.00/SFAInternational).
With rising costs and our dependence on foreign sources for almost 30% of our total energy consumption, "our economy will collapse within the next few years if we do not change our sources and uses of energy. The dollar will be severely devalued. We will not be able to purchase sufficient energy. The effect will be disastrous. We are observing the largest transfer of wealth between nations in history."
Dr. May presents short-term proposals to increase U.S. production and reduce our petroleum consumption. This will "buy us time" to attain long-range goals of developing alternative energy and creating the infrastructure to maintain our energy independence. As a research scientist working in the energy field, Dr. May has intimate knowledge of petroleum fuels and alternate energy resources. This book is a solid reference to ensure that every citizen understands the formidable task the U.S. must undertake to maintain a healthy economy and control our destiny. Detailed data is included in appendices for those desiring more specific information than presented in each chapter.
